Abloom apartments Bangkok

As mentioned in previous post we stayed in the abloom serviced apartments in Bangkok and haven’t really got a bad word to say about them. I don’t really want to go into a detailed review here as these are always subjective to personal preference, the room you are in and things that don’t happen all the time. You can get lots of these from sites like TripAdvisor etc, then make your own mind up based on many reviews. For our stay which was a 3 night stop over in Bangkok abloom was excellent, staff were very friendly from the minute we walked in, checked us in very quickly, gave us 2 usernames without us having to ask for free unlimited WiFi in room which is all included in price. They also gave us mini map showing the rear exit and door code which takes you straight to sky train station, less than 1 min walk! From here you can get to the Siam area in city center in 3 stops(10 min).

We landed late afternoon so didn’t want to go out for food so ate at the abloom restaurant which was really nice! Breakfast next morning was basically a choice of 2 eggs cooked to your liking ( I.e. fried, boiled, scrambled, or an omelette ) plus what they call sausages over here, more like the German bratwurst version and bacon. There was also a buffet with salad a Thai noodle dish, rice, cereals, coffee, tea, juice etc which you could help yourself too

IMG_1455Seeing Bangkok  From the abloom apartments in the north area of Bangkok is very easy to get to the shopping area, You simply just get on the sky train and head to the Siam stop. Siam is were the latest shopping centers are including Siam center, Siam paragon, Siam discovery and Emporium. These include all the shop brands you would expect to find in big cities around the world from top fashion names to well know coffee shops, fast food chains and restaurants. Siam paragon has a lot more eating places with a whole floor dedicated to well know everyday global brands along side local places as well as fine dining outlets, there is also an ocean world on the bottom floor. Within Siam discovery there is a Madame Tussaud and an ice rink. There is also at an outback steak restaurant on the top floor which offers excellent sky views while you dine!
On the opposite side of the road to this is Siam square where there is a load of traditional street traders along side more well know brands like hard rock cafe, apple. The old town, is also only about 5 min walk from here where the more traditional Thai and less expensive shopping centers are, as well as the big market where there are hundreds of street traders selling food, clothes, bags, watches, jewelry etc etc.
The shopping centers in this area are also very big with one having 5 floors of clothes, jewelry etc and then on the 6th floor an excellent food court where you can get pretty much any type of Thai/Chinese food for a very cheap price ( for example pad Thai for about 75 baht or chicken and rice for 55 baht). Next to here is another center which is dedicated to computers and electronics where there is about 5 floors of laptops, PC’s, PC cases, mother boards, speakers, iPad’s, iPhone’s, galaxy tablets, Sony… Etc etc
When returning to the abloom apartments by sky train simply get off at the Sanam pao (n14) station. Leave Station on the left hand side of the road facing the way the train is travelling, you will see a 7/11 shop and there is a shop front a few doors down that says abloom across the top, next to a Thai massage place. Walk through here and enter code into the door at end, turn left then right a few yards down the road in the abloom apartments, It’s literally 2 minutes from train to hotel!
