Best VPN software and service

What is the best VPN to use while in Oz

VPN software is one of the most important technologies I have had to get my head around since making the more to Australia and also working out which VPN works best in OZ. But that's not really the question you should be asking yourself, you should instead be asking which VPN software allows me to do what I want to do and how do I make the choice between them.


It is especially hard as you will have probably read reviews where some people say certain VPN providers work and some say they don't! Surely they cant both be right!! well actually if you don't really know the basics they actually can be and not all service work on VPN's 100% of the time. Having said that after my research and testing a number of VPN services I think ExpressVPN is the best and most complete VPN, NORD VPN is an excellent alternative which almost matches ExpressVPN. These just ticked more of the technical boxes for my use, and have a 30 day money back guarantee . My current recommendations

  1. ExpressVPN - The best i have used and what I use now, since signing up i have not had any issues just always works, haven't even had to contact customer support. It is a little more expensive but not much. 
  2. Tunnelbear - Beautiful VPN experience with very fast speeds, just missing a few features such as a range of IP address, live chat so you sometimes have to wait while services are re-enabled. The beauty of this is that you can try the full service using the free account.
  3. Nord VPN - not far behind expressVPN, slightly less robust, sometimes have to wait for services to be re-enabled like tunnel bear, less devices supported but a little cheaper 
  4. PureVPN - Another excellent alternative that is worth considering, supports all devices, 7 day money back guarantee and touted as the worlds fastest VPN

..a service that might also be worth a look is Hidden24 who are focused on privacy and don't even require a name or address for signup. I have not tried Hidden24 myself so would grateful of any feedback anyone might have on them.
