So off we go to the Bamboo house in Karon beach, Phuket. On arriving it becomes clear the driver has no clue where any of our hotels are actually situated. A few people manage to spot theirs as we are driving through and get the driver to stop. Then there was us and another couple left starting to think the worse as we had no clue where the bamboo house was. Strangely the other couple were staying in the pacific club which we almost decided to go too! Anyway as they were trying to direct the driver I saw the bamboo house out of the corner of my eye on what looked like the main strip in Karon!
Looked really nice from the outside, has the bamboo kitchen restaurant on the front and hotel and swimming pool behind. The restaurant looks nicer than anything else in the vicinity! Baring in mind this is costing us half the price of second cheapest place we have stayed in we are not expecting that much, although it gets very good reviews. Check in is swift and included a free drink. Looks like a few rooms are being updated with a few new TV, and beds being installed. Anyway we get to our room on the 5th floor and it is really nice, good size, comfy bed, apple PC hooked up to TV with free Internet as well as free wifi. At least as nice as the other places we have stayed in apart from Santhiya in Koh Phangnan of course, but that wasn’t 20 odd quid a night!
So all in all we are very pleased with the hotel especially as this is only costing us £21 a night including breakfast, modern, clean, good size room, free wifi, mac pc with internet hooked up to TV, Swimming pool.
