It was finally time to leave rainy Krabi and go in search of some sun, so we decided to get to Phuket by bus, which would takes around 4 hours and cost us 600 baht(£12) for both of us!
We got picked up at the hotel at about 10am and are told we will be getting dropped off at the bus station and our bus to Phuket leaves at 11.30. WHen we arrived at the bus station it was not really what we were expecting. It was basically a little shack with a few chairs in, seemingly in the middle of nowhere! We had about an hour to wait for the bus and to start with there no one else insight!! Within about half an hour a few more people turn up and eventually our bus arrived to take us to Phuket, so was all good in the end.
Once we get into Phuket, the driver pulls up at a travel agents and asks everyone to go inside and tell them which hotel you are staying at. So not really knowing what was going on, we go inside and tell someone which hotel we are staying at and all they want to do is sell us tours, so we polity decline and we are all soon back in the bus heading for our individual hotels. Our hotel was the bamboo house which was fantastic and amazing value for money but I will go into this more in my next post
