Singapore Moon Hotel Dickson Road

Next morning We wake up at about 5.30/6 after having a little sleep and decide to head to our hotel in Singapore by tube. This is the Singapore Moon hotel on Dickson road, there is a lot of moon hotels so the road name is quite important.

There is a train straight from the airport to Singapore center and we managed to find a stop what looked quite close to the hotel. It wasn’t actually that close but we still managed to walk from the station to hotel while dragging our luggage. Anyway we made it to the hotel at about 7.30am but could not check in until 2pm so left our bags with them and headed for a look round. We headed to the marina first where the F1 circuit is(did u expect anything else?!!) then headed to the main shopping area and back to our hotel for check in at 2pm.

We get up to our room and can’t believe how tiny it is (having just come from our amazing villa!!) in Koh Pangan but I guess we only need it for somewhere to sleep and will try to forget that this actually cost more per night than the villa;(

This is probably a little unfair first reaction to this hotel as all hotels in Singapore are very small so its not like we could have gone somewhere else for the same price which was bigger. If you get over the size it was actually quite nice and you got a fully stocked fridge including 2/3 can of larger, 2 cans of coke, bottle of orange juice, bottle of apple juice and 2 bottles of water which were all included in the price, and they restocked everything in the fridge every day. So in effect as we were hardly going to be spending much time sleeping in the hotel it was ideal.

It also turns out that this room wasn’t the deluxe that we had booked. Unfortunately we didn’t realise this until the next day but they moved us and refunded the difference for the previous day. Deluxe or whatever it was called was actually a lot bigger, still not massive but more than big enough.

Singapore is pretty much just like any other city and after what iv heard about it I was a little disappointed if I’m being honest! Although the marina area was really nice especially at night and even better when there is a race track running through it;-) Martin didn’t seem to mind Singapore though and everything was also in English which made it easy!
