Once settled into the bamboo house hotel we decide to go for look around. We walk down to the front and have a look at the beach which is only about 2 mins away. Beach is really nice with white sand and clear sea, there is also some waves so might even be able to do a bit of surfing, well body boarding! After a further walk round and a look at some of the restaurant we decided to eat at a place called vitaporn, not the greatest name but had Thai food for 80 baht and 20% off everything else. To be fair a lot of places had 20% to 25% off… the beauty of coming out of the main season:-)
Vitaporn is a really nice place and the food was good, potion size was not quite as big as other places we had been too so far but it was cheaper so I guess once you know this you can just order a bit more! I had probably the best tasting green curry id had and it came in a fresh coconut which was a nice touch. It was one of the green coconuts that they serve as drinks, not actually sure of the relationship between the hard brown coconut with white coconut fruit in and the green ones they sell as drinks. Do the green ones turn into the brown ones if left on the tree or is it a different type altogether??? Suppose I could just google it but that would be too easy;) Anyway the only problem with Vitaporn again was the number of staff, there was about 4 per occupied table and upon handing us the menu one stood there waiting for us to choose, a little off putting.
